Welcome to the artistic landscape of DiArsanima!

Or DiA for short.

I'm a multidisciplinary visual artist whose main objective is to build my own menagerie of archetypes, which are created with traditional or digital techniques and share them with the world. Join me in digging deep into our collective human psyche and explore the symbols which I integrate into predominantly portraits of imagined or real women, that encompass traits of our ancestors, rituals, big and small stories. My artwork is a result of lifelong study of human experience on symbolic level through combining myth with contemporary reality through the fierce divine feminine.

I specialize in three fields:

Classical old and new master's techniques (after studying Rubens, Caravaggio, Rembrandt, Titian, Freud and Lorca) with oils on canvas. Acrylics and even mixed media;
Digital art by using computer programs, graphic design and illustration;
Grand scale art such as murals, interior and exterior wall paintings.

Education

I studied at various institutions around the world and finished my Bachelor degree in industrial design at:

Academy of Fine Arts and Design, University of Ljubljana, Slovenia;

I acquired another Bachelor and Magister Degree for painting at the same institution. I refined my creative experimental approach to art process, developing a hybrid for creating with mixing digital and classical techniques, with additional studies at:

Winchester School of Art, University of Southampton, United Kingdom;
Academia de belas-artes, University of Lisbon, Portugal;

At following institution I studied classical Balinese painting:

Pengosekan Community, Bali, Indonesia;

And refined my skills for classical European painting, specifically studying old masters in oil on canvas at:

Angel Art Academy, Florence, Italy;

I also acquired additional education and certificate in pedagogy and andragogy to be able to efficiently pass on the knowledge and skill in art to people of various generations, backgrounds and levels of knowledge at:

Faculty of Education, University of Maribor, Slovenia.
